Angela Liddle - President and CEO
Angela has been the President and CEO of PFSA for more than 20 years. A York County native, she has spent more than 25 years working in arena of child abuse prevention and services to families. Angela received her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management and certification in Public Sector Human Resource Management from Penn State University. She was selected by Governor Tom Corbett to serve on the Children’s Trust Fund board of directors and was chosen in 2013 as a Woman of Excellence by the Harrisburg YWCA. Angela is a mom to two adult daughters and “Mae Mae” to a beautiful granddaughter.
Beth Bitler - Program Director
Beth has been Program Director for PFSA since 1999. She has worked with parents for more than 20 years as a parent educator and administrator of a family support agency. At PFSA, she is responsible for providing training and technical assistance to a statewide network of child abuse prevention programs. Beth is the author of several educational publications for parents, as well as PFSA’s “Building Your Family” and “Recovering Families” parenting curricula, and PFSA’s quarterly newsletter. She coordinates the statewide Front Porch Project® initiative, working with local organizations on child abuse prevention. Beth received her Master of Science in Administration from West Chester University and her Bachelor of Science in communications from Kutztown University. A Berks County native, Beth lives in Harrisburg, and enjoys travel and reading.
Haven Evans - Director of Training
Haven Evans joined the staff of PFSA in November 2016 as our Director of Training. Haven has more than eight years of experience in the child welfare field, as a caseworker, ChildLine supervisor and most recently, ChildLine Manager. She was responsible for managing the state’s 24/7 intake unit that responds to a large volume and variety of calls regarding the care of children, particularly reports of suspected child abuse or neglect. Haven also supervised Background Checks Units responsible for child abuse history clearances. She brings to PFSA an extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Law and has conducted many training sessions and written procedural manuals to ensure that legal requirements are met.
On a personal note, Haven enjoys arm knitting and spending time with her husband and three young children.
Ellen Brown - Development Director
Ellen joined PFSA in 2016 to head PFSA’s fundraising efforts. Drawing upon an extensive career in special project management and fundraising, Ellen is well equipped to seek the community’s support for PSFA’s mission. Some of her more recent projects include the acclaimed CowParade® Harrisburg and the City of Harrisburg’s 150th Anniversary Celebration. A graduate of Dickinson College, Ellen has served as a board member of the Dauphin County Library System, the Susquehanna Art Museum, the Dauphin County Historical Society and Open Stage of Harrisburg. She is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
When she is not raising money and awareness for the PSFA, Ellen and her husband breed and raise sport horses on their farm near Harrisburg.
Patrice Thompson - Financial and Data Analyst
Patrice is originally from Schuylkill County and grew up on military bases around the world, graduating from Zama American High School near Tokyo, Japan. A resident of Camp Hill, Patrice holds a master’s degree from Penn State University and a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. She spent more than 20 years developing software and preparing tax returns before joining PFSA. When she’s not updating PFSA’s database and financial information, you might spot Patrice tap dancing with Vicki’s Tap Pups, America’s largest adult tap group.
Jill Whitmyer - Executive Administrative Assistant
Jill Whitmyer joined PFSA as Executive Administrative Assistant in 2015. Jill spent over fifteen years in the public education system, specializing in Family Services and community involvement. She has worked on fundraising events for several local organizations, including the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Giving Tree, Coats for Kids, and Children’s Miracle Network. Jill considers her greatest blessings to be her children and grandchildren. When she’s not at PFSA, she enjoys power walking, working out, gardening and riding her motorcycle.
Stephanie Rehrer - Administrative Assistant
Stephanie resides in York County with her husband and two children. She graduated from Central Penn College with an associate degree and worked for several years in law firms before joining PFSA in 2013. Steph wears several hats in our organization – data entry, clerical support for each of our program areas, registration of training participants, and fulfilling orders. In her spare time, she enjoys admiring her daughter’s art work and cheering on her son’s baseball team.
Charmaine Kingsland - Scheduling Administrative Assistant
Charmaine Kingsland is PFSA’s Scheduling Administrative Assistant. Charmaine came to PFSA in January 2017 with more than ten years of customer service and administrative experience. When she’s not at PFSA, she’s taking care of her amazing children, cooking, reading and changing her hairstyle.
