Child Abuse Prevention Month Events Announced

2/03/12 - Plans are underway for the annual observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month. As we have done for decades, PFSA takes the lead in sponsoring events to raise awareness of child abuse. Beginning with a breakfast featuring best-selling author Regina Brett on April 3, to “Painting for Prevention” events, there are many ways for you to get involved.

Angela Liddle Joins CTF Board

1/13/12 - Angela M. Liddle, executive director of the Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance (PFSA), has been appointed to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Children’s Trust Fund. She was nominated to the post by Gov. Tom Corbett and confirmed by the state Senate. The board is made up of three members of the state House of Representatives, three members of the state Senate and nine citizens appointed by the governor.

PFSA Calls for Entries for Media Award

12/09/11 - PFSA is accepting entries for the 2012 Michael A. O’Pake Memorial Award for Media Public Service. We want to honor media reporting that expands community understanding and awareness and helps improve community involvement in dealing with child abuse and neglect. All forms of media are eligible to enter the competition. Entries will be accepted by mail, email, or special delivery starting January 1, 2012 and ending on January 31, 2012.
