www.pacwcbt.pitt.edu - The Pennsylvania Child Welfare Training Program is a collaborative effort of the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, and the Pennsylvania Children and Youth Admnistrators.  It was established to train direct service workers, supervisors, administrators, and foster parents in providing social services to abused and neglected children and their families.  The Training Program is centrally managed and regionally administered by the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work.

www.jlc.org - The Juvenile Law Center (JLC) is a non-profit legal service focused on the protection of children's rights. They work on behalf of children who have come within the purview of public agencies- for example, abused or neglected children placed in foster homes, delinquent youth sent to residential treatment facilities or adult prisons, or children in placement with specialized services needs. JLC provides, free of charge, a range of useful legal information and guidance for professionals who come into contact with children.

www.paaap.org - The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics offers information on Medical Home Training for children with special needs. They also offer technical assistance, screening, and advocacy for children.

www.secretsafe.org – Safe Haven Act in Pennsylvania allows parents of newborns to leave babies age 28 days or younger at a hospital if they feel they are unable to care for the child without repercussions as long as the baby is unharmed.

www.pollyklass.org - The Polly Klass Foundation is a national nonprofit that helps find missing children, prevents children from going missing, and promotes laws like Amber Alert that help keep children safe.  The foundation offers child safety information to the community, including its free Child Safety Kit and Internet Safety Kit.
